With my wedding day around the corner, I can’t think of a better time in my life that now to challenge myself and get in the best shape possible

My 30 Day Challenge Goal:

Run a 20 Minute 5 Km

With my wedding day around the corner, I can’t think of a better time in my life than now to challenge myself and get in the best shape possible.   

 I’ve never been a confident person and being the center of attention is NOT my forte, so as the big day approaches a whole new level of anxiety will likely kick in to my already anxious nature.  I’ve found over the last two years since joining Fit Happens that exercising is so important for my mental well-being.  Therefore, this challenge will be both mentally and physically rewarding come the wedding day! 

 My support system throughout my challenge will be critical to my success.  The men and woman at Fit Happens, my sister (who has always been my biggest cheerleader), my fiancé and Jenn will all be individuals I will rely heavily on in the coming weeks.

 There are four areas that my challenge will focus on – diet, arms, abs and overall leaning out!

My Workout Schedule

Monday: 6am class, homework in evening (arms and 10 min plank)

Tuesday: 6:30am class, homework in evening (arms and 10 min plank) and 5km run

Wednesday: 6pm class, homework in evening (arms and 10 min plank)

Thursday: Personal training session with Jenn – (focus on arms) and 10 min plank

Friday: Homework (arms and 10 min plank) plus 5km run

Saturday: Event Training class, followed by 5km run and 10 min plank

Sunday: Rest Day + 10 min plank

Diet Goal

  • 6 servings of leafy greens daily
  • fish oil supplement
  • 2 l water
  • limit sugar and salt intake
  • food journal daily

Arms Goal

5 days a week of arm, back and shoulder exercises (5-20 mins)

Ab goals

Plank for 10 minutes EVERY day

Running Goal

Run a 20 min 5km
